![]() Back in Ambrose a lone woman who is lost and suddenly spots Vincent who she is thinking is just a regular person walks up and asks for directions until she is attacked by Vincent who she tries to outrun at first until he comes from around the corner and fatally stabs her stomach with her guts falling out killing her. ![]() While stopping for the night at a campsite Nick, Carly and their friends Darren, Jamie, Heather, Kelly, Logan, Jack, Calvin, and Jenna all were making up stories to scare each other until Carly suddenly hears noises in the forest and goes to check it out until Nick sees what is going on and she just says nothing. After that Vincent sets out after the siblings Nick and Carly to finally finish them off. CastEdit Elisha Cuthbert - Carly Jones Chad Michael Murray - Nick Jones Brian Van Holt - Bo Sinclair/Vincent Sinclair Paris Hilton - Paige Edwards Jared. A gang of college friends, including Wade (Jared Padalecki) and his girlfriend, Carly (Elisha Cuthbert), are en route to a school football game when they wind up with a flat tire in a ghost town. Meanwhile after escaping the hospital Vincent travels back to his Home in the Town of Ambrose, and makes himself a new wax mask which is the same exact look as the previous one that had been destroyed. ![]() Nick and Carly are very reluctant at first until Darren calms them down and convinces them that both Vincent and Bo are dead and never to return which calms the siblings down. Meanwhile Carly and Nick with their new friends are all going to a basketball match but to get there they will have to drive by the town in which Nick and Carly survived from, The Town of Ambrose. When a doctor accidentally bumbed some chemicals into the corpse of Vincent, he came back from the dead, he killed the doctor and suddenly remembered Nick and Carly, and went on a killing spree to have revenge. They had a long conversation about what happened to them 5 Years ago, meanwhile in the morgue at the hospital both corpse´s of Vincent and Bo Sinclair lay there lifeless while after being unfrozen from ice they were put in after there bodies being discoverd in the melted House of Wax remains that sealed them both for them to not decompose. Bronson appears to leap out of the audience and onto the screen it's an unexpected moment, and a real treat.5 Years after the events of House of Wax, Carly Jones had to pick her brother Nick Jones from the Police station after stealing a car to go help a friend in need. There is one great 3D thrill, the shot where Bronson, playing Vincent Price's evil mute assistant, has to grapple with policeman Frank Lovejoy. He mostly holds back on the effect until he can make the best use of it - the paddle ball, the can-can dancer's round bottom, the bust of Charles Bronson at the end. There's some foregrounding of chandeliers and other props, but never too much. De Toth composes his shots really nicely, I think. In "House of Wax", the effect found its real home, a melodramatic thriller, played by everyone with tongue firmly in cheek. In 3D, you're completely jolted out of your involvement in the scene when Grace's grasping hand comes lunging halfway out into the audience at you. Movie Life: House of Wax Elisha Cuthbert plays Elisha Cuthbert, Chad Michael Murray plays Chad Michael Murray Jared Padalecki plays Jared Padalecki, Brian Van. The attempted murder of Grace Kelly in "Dial M" is more shocking in 2D. ![]() The gimmick gets in the way of real drama. Hitchcock, in "Dial M For Murder", tried to use the technology for dramatic effect, but that was a complete failure. Enter your location to see which movie theaters are playing House of Wax (2005) near you. Director André De Toth treats the gimmick as a gimmick, and doesn't try to get more out of it than that. The really dramatic 3D effects in this film are played for laughs, and I think that's one of the keys to its overall success. It's completely over the top, and helps to create the carnival atmosphere that makes the film so effective in a large group. The paddle ball scene is a highlight, but the reprise of the paddle ball is even more hilarious. The crowd just loved it, with a big round of applause at the end. I've only seen this film twice in the past 15 years, but both times were in 3D, the second time last night.
